We meet about once a month for an activity.  All youth grades 6-12 are welcome to participate in fun, fellowship, and devotions.  Explore your journey of faith and celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ!

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse. St. Luke takes donations year round of hygiene items and small gifts for children served by this ministry.

Children's Sunday School is offered during the School Year (Labor Day through Memorial Day) at 8:45 am for children age 3 through High School.  Classes begin in September.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:00 am.  The class is led by the pastor.  We discuss a variety of topics, including Bible studies, Lutheran traditions, and current issues.

First Communion Instruction is offered for children in 4th and 5th grades every other year.  Our next class will be fall of 2017.

Confirmation classes are held, in conjunction with other Lutheran congregations in the area, each Wednesday evening during the school year.  7th and 8th grade students are invited to participate in the Confirmation program.  After completing the two-year program, 8th grade students confirm their faith on Pentecost Sunday.

Vacation Bible School is held for one week in July each year. Children age 3 through those who have completed 6th grade are invited to participate.  Activities include music, games, crafts, and storytelling.

Christian Education

The Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.  Sid Rathert directs the choir and Karen Tripp accompanies them.  The choir sings anthems and sometimes helps lead the liturgy during Sunday morning worship services and other special services.  The choir is always seeking new voices!

The Bell Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 8:00 to 9:00 pm.  Sid Rathert directs the three-octave hand bell choir.  They ring at Sunday morning services and other special services.

St. Luke is part of a team of churches and businesses in the Trico area who are working to feed hungry school children on the weekends.  We have begun packing bags of food at 3:45 p.m. every Wednesday during the school year. TAFFY will use upstairs classroom 5 at St. Luke for storage and packing.  We have food collection sites at St. Luke (by the Pastor's office) and First State Bank of Campbell Hill.  The following food items are being collected now at St. Luke:

  • Cereal bowls and cereal bars

  • Granola bars

  • Instant Oatmeal

  • Pop Tarts

  • Cheese & crackers/ Peanut Butter & Crackers

  • Goldfish Crackers - individual packs

The Quilters meet monthly on the First Thursday at 9:00 am in the Quilting Room.

St. Luke has an active Prison ministry to inmates and their families.
